Structural Engineer

Design and detail buildings in both reinforced concrete and structural steel — IS 456:2000 and IS 800:2007 respectively — across our residential, commercial and energy work.

About this role

We build in reinforced concrete and in full structural steel, and the two are different disciplines: IS 456:2000 governs one, IS 800:2007 the other, and the detailing habits of each do not transfer by accident. This seat owns both.

You will take buildings from structural scheme to good-for-construction drawings — working directly with the Principal Architect and the site team, on projects like our fully prefabricated precast office at KIADB Devanahalli and the steel-framed villa at Mulbagal.

Role description

01

What you'll do

  • Analyse and design RCC structures to IS 456:2000 and steel structures to IS 800:2007 — each to its own code, never by analogy.
  • Apply loading per IS 875 and seismic design per IS 1893, with ductile detailing to IS 13920 where reinforced concrete demands it.
  • Design steel connections and review fabrication and erection drawings with vendors.
  • Design foundations from tested soil reports, and stand behind the numbers.
  • Produce and check good-for-construction drawing sets; resolve site queries and attend inspections at casting and erection stages.
  • Coordinate structure with architecture and MEP on drawings — before the site finds the clash.

02

What we're looking for

  • B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering; M.Tech in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • 4–5 years designing buildings, with real projects delivered in both concrete and steel.
  • Working command of IS 456:2000, IS 800:2007, IS 875, IS 1893 and IS 13920.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS or STAAD.Pro, and drawing review in AutoCAD.
  • Enough site exposure to know what a drawing costs to build.

03

Good to have

  • Experience with precast or pre-engineered building systems.
  • Exposure to interlocking block masonry paired with steel framing.
  • Civil works for industrial or renewable-energy installations.
